About Bride Chic
Winter may not be around the corner just yet but I know all you December and January brides are sure thinking about it as we roast our tushies off in the midst of summer! My first tip to the bride looking toward a winter wedding is this: find a wedding dress with sleeves. I know, I know, strapless still rules even in winter but there are a few designers out there offering gorgeous dresses with mid to long length sleeve variations. A few worth checking out…
- Jasper Conran
- Temperly
- Oscar de la Renta
Want to go strapless or sleeveless once you’re toasty warm indoors at your wedding reception? Then emerge from the snowy outdoors in a bridal coat or cape. This separate piece can be a match (doesn’t necessarily have to be, though) to your wedding dress underneath.
Invest in warm accessories like a fur or faux fur capelet. Opera length gloves are a great substitute for sleeves and oh so chic. How about your feet? Going to and from your ceremony and reception is a cinch if you have a pair of white boots with which to traipse through snow. And don’t forget your head. A fur hat or hoodie could be just the right touch to top off your winter wonderland look and keep your ears from frosting over.
