Featured DIY Montana Wedding: Alex and Kendra

Alex and Kendra married on a gorgeous June afternoon, in a picture-perfect location in Helena, MT. Their beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Kleffner Ranch was followed by a huge reception at the Kleffner’s historic barn. This wedding was packed with special details- from the personalized tiles sprinkled throughout the path leading down to the wedding ceremony, to the hand-placed gerbera daisy “garden” lining the aisle, to the curtain of pink and orange discs floating behind the head reception table. There were two chandeliers dangling sparkly W’s of every shape and size (in honor of the new couple’s last name), and bejeweled branches in big glass jars for the reception table centerpieces. All of these details created a fabulous rustic-chic affair.

The couple got creative with their guest book and opted for a guest “tree”, and included a wedding time capsule where guests could write a message or prediction for the couple and place it in a 1-Year, 5-Year, and 20-Year jar (to be opened on the appropriate anniversary). However, the truly amazing thing about all of these details was that almost everything was DIY! The bride’s cousin Courtney serves as a wedding planner/master decorator for her family members, and her labor of love resulted in a truly stunning wedding. We felt lucky to be a part of Alex and Kendra’s special day and we wish them many blessings as they begin their new journey together!
