There is a green revolution out there; a green lifestyle that is fast emerging in the modern times that can begin in your own homes. The community and activists are practicing it and everyday more and more are joining this step to sustain mother earth – our one source for survival and longevity.

But in a vast scene, this type of phenomenon, which can be practiced in detail can start in your own ways. We just have to know how to practice the lifestyle properly. Going Green is at the palm of our hands. There is much offer of a green lifestyle today that you can have or do even under your own roof. RECYCLING is one of the main keys of going Green.

There is much trash produced in the world and many dump sites are almost filled with mans unwanted objects of industrialization. Things that will haunt us for a very, very long time because they are not biodegradable, but there is a lot of hope because of recycling. Papers with blank pages at the back can still be used as scratch papers, old containers can be filled again with other things as long as they have similar chemical component and use, and used grocery plastics can be used again for other things.

What one can do, too is to bring green bags (some groceries have them for free) or your own re-usable bags for your items. You could even look more fashionable and at the same time as you put up that cool sunglass, you’re one proud mamma, doing your part in saving the environment. Then there are the banana peels, orange peels or fish remains from your dinner last night.

Look outside your window, you might be forgetting that there is an empty space with soil at your garden waiting to be fed with your biodegradable trash. Mister early worm will surely be welcoming. Your smiling flowers or baby vegetables will need the compost from your excess food. It would really be interesting sharing your food with your plants and flowers. After all, they are part of the family.

For some more knowledgeable and technical homes a family can also use materials that are earth friendly. There are solar powered roofs developed nowadays for an alternative source of energy at home or bio fueled cars that can be used for cars. Using CFL lights can also help save energy at home.

But of course, after all these practices have been mentioned, there are still the basic things that we should not forget like turning off the water while brushing your teeth, turning off the lights or any electric appliance when not in use, and the very primitive way of walking when your trip is not that far. This can even be a way of exercise to limit those aching muscles at night.

This going green lifestyle does not only make you a hero to mother earth but also a hero to your grandchildren. If your four-cornered structure is colored by a going green way then a harmonious HOME is achieved with a spark of hope for a cleaner future.

Helping the environment and going green is not as hard as it sounds. It is not even remotely difficult. It just calls for many small, minor changes in our lifestyles and you will be surprised at how much impact you can generate by going green.

Helping the environment and going green is not as hard as it sounds. It is not even remotely difficult. It just calls for many small, minor changes in our lifestyles and you will be surprised at how much impact you can generate by going green.

The first aspect in your life where you can practice going green is in your transportation. With gas prices steadily rising and being expected to increase over the years, going green with your mode of transportation seems a pretty logical idea. Not only do you save money, but you save the environment as well. Try green transportation by using a bicycle or your God-given legs. Keep your car in tune and practice good driving. A well-kept car uses less gas than a car in poor condition. If you can imagine a life without your car, sell it!

Go for quality and not for quantity. When buying items, dont make price your highest priority, consider if the item youre buying is going to last you for the long term. Buying cheap may help you save in the short term, but going green in your purchases will save you money in the long run. Make sure also that your ordinary household items are recyclable such as tissue paper.

Water is another aspect in which going green practices are important. Do your laundry only when you have a full load of clothes. Otherwise, youre just wasting energy, soap, and your own effort. Search your home for water leaks and have them repaired right away. Not only will it save your money on water bills, it also helps conserve water for future use. Another way of going green is by changing your showerhead to a lower one. A lower shower head uses less water to get to your body. This also saves you time.

Learn how to conserve electricity. Unplug appliances that are not in use. You can change all your light bulbs to compact fluorescent light bulbs or CFLs. Australia has applied this going green change which means this is not impossible. Learn how to dispose of your bulbs properly, as well as your used batteries. If you have changed cell phones over the years, donate your mobile phones and batteries for proper recycling.

You should know that not all household cleaning materials should be bought from the grocery or supermarket. Going green with your household products can mean using soap, vinegar and baking soda as cleaning ingredients. This not only means less expense for you, but less chemicals released in our environment.

Sleep early and go to bed early. This may seem like a foreign concept in this modern age but sleeping early means less electricity consumption. Turn off unused lights before going to bed and wake up early to take advantage of the natural light of the sun. You can also have a healthy dose of vitamin E while youre at it.

Buildings and offices are just some of structures that take part in this whole idea of industrialization. And they are also a big contribution to our city trash, so this article presents ways on how (yes we know we are all victims of the system and cannot really fight the effects of industrialization) offices can take part in the move of going green in their own baby steps. On each floor of the building one department could have one way of helping out mother earth.

On the first floor, officers should use CFLs for their lights. With the same quality this would help save energy consumption in the office. On the second floor, papers with black pages at the back can still be used for non-formal print outs or as scratch papers for notes. Old folders and labels can also be reused. There would be less trash, less expenses for the department. On the kitchen area, own mugs for each employee should be practiced than using plastic or paper cups from coffee dispenser machines. A minimized or scheduled use of the air conditioning system and other electronic gadgets can also be practiced to help conserve energy on the building.

There are also water energy, energy efficient and indoor environmentally friendly office materials and equipments that company can follow and use to join the move of going green. There are also the bio fuels developed that companies can use for their cars and company trucks. The use of this kind of fuel is providing a healthier air to many people, and like returning a favor to consumers and ordinary citizens their right for a cleaner environment.

On the outside of a building, the proper segregation of waste is also one major factor on how offices, buildings and companies could help out in going green. In the city scene most especially, the people are one of the major contributors of waste. With the ways mentioned above, they could also reduce, reuse, and recycle through segregation of their trash in all departments. This will reduce the production of trash. Reusing old electronic equipments or even donating them to communities in need can also help reduce the amount of non-bio degradable trash produced. In general, the whole concept of a RECYCLING program means a company can somehow promote a healthier environment to live in.

Ways mentioned are an ideal dream for some companies who often care only about their businesses. But going green is not only a vocation to ordinary citizens but for them also because these companies and offices are also part of the inhibitors of the planet earth. We share the same air, water source and all the kinds of energy. They maybe up in those tall tower buildings and using the most high technology equipment but we are one in having the responsibility in taking care of the planet earth. A better habitat means a better cooperation from each one of us. With proper project planning and implementation, companies and offices can also take part in making this world a better place to live in.
