123 Lets Go Green!
Posted in Go Green
There is much in this life that we could truly enjoy in a spic and span environment - an ordered system of lifestyle and a cultivated surrounding. This is what going green is all about.
Planet earth is now in its critical stage. Forests are denuded, mountains are destroyed, rivers have been polluted and many other environmental issues are bombarding humanity. With the fast paced technology and its developments, its forefather, industrialization is also running fast with the dark changing times of our planet.
Just as the color suggests green instigates a spark of hope with the catastrophe that is happening to our dear environment. The paradise of beautiful flowers, colorful insects and butterflies, and free-flowing rivers may not all be visualized again in a perfect picture, but at least going green slowly prevents the complete destruction of this planet.
This is a call, a responsibility - a vocation for each one of us residing in this once very beautiful planet. But due to mans selfish motives and uncouth practices, trees are now dead logs, rivers are now fatal, and that once fresh air is now like a ghost roaming the polluted city.
There are just many things we could do for mother earth. Going green is as easy as 1 2 3
One: start with your own self. Discipline is very important; before you reach out to other people, you have to practice first on what you preach. Start by throwing your pieces of trash in the proper place or putting that small piece of paper in your pocket when mister bin is nowhere to be found. Segregate properly. There are many places nowadays that practice trash segregation and as an individual it is but right to follow this program. Stop in front of those colorful trash cans, take a moment and bring your trash to its proper home.
Two: Pay it forward. Be a responsible adult or child. Always remember the things learned in school. Be an example to others - to your sons and daughters, to your siblings and especially to your friends. Living righteously for the environment is worth it even if they call you a geek. This is a long term solution even for those persecutors. Your every step is equally important for them. Maybe, just maybe, being an example can bring the practice into a whole new network of people who are also paying it forward.
Three: Reach out to the community. They say it takes two to tango but think about a group of people in a ballroom, enjoying themselves on the dance floor. Just like dancing, you may have different ways: tango, boogie or cha-cha. Helping out with the community natural fertilizer, joining the weekly community clean up, helping out with your schools environmental club.
Young or old, we each have our chance to take part in this green revolution for our mother earth. And if we dance harmoniously, there may be an aesthetic result in the future. Our performance as humans today in helping to save the environment is a great artistry each can offer to our childrens future.
